Tom Giberson is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist who has consulted with hundreds of organizations to develop leaders and leadership teams for over 20 years. He has conducted well over 2500 psychological assessments, interviews, & assessment centers of leaders for both development and hiring purposes, and has extensive experience as a leadership coach, consultant, and strategic advisor. He also has deep experience as a leadership team coach for the purposes of team development, problem solving, and strategic planning.
Tom founded the Tom Giberson, PhD Leadership Institute in 2020 to provide expert coaching to both emerging leaders and advancing leaders in an online, hybrid format. Built upon good science and 20 years of experience, the Institute’s first program empowers emerging leaders with executive-level assessments, coaching, leadership models, and practical application: The Aspiring Leader Coaching Series: Launch Your Leadership Career.
Tom founded Lead.Grow.Change.® in 2002 to house his consulting & coaching practice. He brings the science of psychology and 25+ years of experience to his work with individuals, teams, and organizations.
Tom has served in a variety of roles as a senior consultant, director of client services, global director of organization development, and academic department chair. Prior to his academic employment, he held external consulting positions as well as global director-level staff positions with responsibilities regarding leadership development and organization improvement and change.
In his role as an Associate Professor of Leadership at a regional, state university in Michigan, he researches and publishes on a variety of topics including leadership, organizational culture, and the future of higher education. He also teaches leadership, teams, and organization development at the undergraduate, graduate, and Executive MBA levels.
